May 2, 2015 – British sprint ace Mark Cavendish won his second stage of this year’s Tour of Turkey when he claimed the seventh stage on Saturday, a 166 kilometers ride from Selcuk to Izmir.

The 29-year-old Isle of Man-born rider — who won four stages in last year’s edition — edged out Italian duo Andrea Piechele and Kristian Sbaragli.

Croatia’s Kristijan Durasek retained the overall lead — he holds a 21sec advantage over 43-year-old Italian Davide Rebellin — ahead of Sunday’s eighth and final stage in Istanbul.
