While the riders battle over jerseys and time at the 2014 Tour de France there is another battle raging by the manufacturers. Following the old motorsports adage, ‘Win on Sunday, sell on Monday,’ bike companies know victory in July results in big sales through the rest of the year.

During the Tour’s long first week, 10 full days of racing, six teams have won stages with seven riders. Each of those wins results in a W for multiple companies. As the riders enjoy the Tour’s first rest day, here are the week-one winners, the fastest products at the 2014 Tour de France so far.

1st: Tie Campagnolo Super Record and Shimano Dura Ace – Four Stages Each
While Campy may not have a big slice of the North American peloton they are still well represented in Europe. Thanks to Nibali, Kadri, and Greipel, Campagnolo has equaled the Japanese juggernaut Shimano, who took victories with Kittel and Boom.
2nd: SRAM Red – Two stages (Martin, Trentin).

Winningest Wheels

Despite failing to get over the line first since Boom’s incredible win on the stage 5 cobbles with a set of Dura Ace C50s, Shimano still leads the wheel manufacturers with four stages, thanks mainly to Marcel Kittel and his set of C50s.
2nd: Tie – Corima and Zipp – Two Stages each  (Nibali, Martin, Trentin).
3rd: Tie –  Fulcrum and Campagnolo– One stage each (Kadri, Greipel).

1st: Specialized S-Works Evade/Prevail – Four Stages
The Evade is leading the aero charge at the front of the peloton and has won three stages on its own, and could be credited with securing Trentin’s stage 7 win over Sagan by millimeters. Even Nibali wore the Evade for his stage 2 win, but swapped to the Prevail for his mountain top victory on stage 10. TT champ Martin is a dedicated Evade wearer.
2nd: UVEX Race 5 – Three stages (Kittel).
3rd: Tie – Bell Star Pro (Boom), Lazer Z1(Greipel), Ekoi Ekcel (Kadri) – One stage each.
