Welcome to the Spanish issue #56 (132 total pages). In our opinion, it’s our best Spanish issue to date.
To start off, Marshall Kappel tells us about his personal San Sebastian. Clive Pursehouse explores the wine in the region where the great Spanish rider Miguel Poblet was born. James Startt profiles three great Spaniards: Alberto Contador, Daniel Moreno and Joaquim Rodriguez. Startt also sits down with Pedro Delgado and rounds out the “Delgado-fest” with a profile of his 1988 Tour de France-winning bike. “Islands in the sky” explores Arizona with visuals by Kappel; Paul Maunder explores the climber and the dictator; and we show what could be the perfect bike route in Majorca with visuals by Jonas Kullman. Of course, there are plenty of products like the Catlike helmet, CatEye’s Padrone Smart+, “Three Cool Bits,” and our infamous “Goods” product bonanza. Steve Thomas looks at the Caja Rural team; Bruce Hildenbrand talks about his adventure with Miguel Indurain in the Colorado Rockies; and John Wilcockson details the Spanish climbers both past and present. For bikes, we look at two: the Orbea Orca M-LTD, and the gravel crusher Foundry Overland. Rounding out the issue is Heidi Swift’s dispatch from the Tulsa Tough. That’ll do, but don’t forget our giveaway, which is an Orbea Orca M20i in the Cofidis colorway! You can sign up for that here (no purchase necessary).
