The 2012 edition of Tirreno-Adriatico produced, as we’ve come to expect, a week of exciting racing and worthy winners. World champion, Mark Cavendish, showed that he has no intention of being cursed by his rainbow stripes. Chris Horner showed that he isn’t slowing down either, bouncing back from a rough 2011 to lead the race and finish an impressive second overall. Meanwhile, Italian superteam Liquigas took home the overall victory and two stage wins courtesy of Vincenzo Nibali and rising star Peter Sagan. With Milano-Sanremo on the horizon, 2012 is shaping up nicely.
