What are you most looking forward to joining Team BMC next year?
Living in Europe and racing as much as I can and getting as much experience as I can. Seeing if I can come out with some results but really focusing on forming a good bond with the team. Next year is really a lot about getting experience and planning for the future.
What do you think will be the biggest change for you?
Im not sure. I mean Im going in to a new environment, with a whole new staff. They are all guys that I am not used to. The few people I have met with so far are all great guys. Well see. Its a whole different team and a whole different atmosphere so Im looking forward to getting in to it.
What are some of your goals for next year?
Id like to do some Classics, get some Classic experience and then if there are some prologues that I can race and race in my national championship outfit then Ill target those and even some time trials and see if I can get a result.
Did you enjoy your time at Worlds?
It was good. It was kind of a stressful week. You know its the World Championships. I was pretty happy to win the Time Trial. It was pretty cool. Then tying for third in the road race was good for me. More than enough for me.
Do you listen to music while you ride?
Im a huge music fan. Im a big fan of Coldplay although not for riding. I could listen to Coldplay forever. Thats just my music for relaxing and hanging out. The top played song on my itunes is the song called Funeral from Band of Horses. Thats probably my most favorite song. Riding, I listen to a ton of remixes and techno stuff. And Dead Mouse is up there on my list for warm up music and riding music.
What does your off-season look like?
Im sort of in off-season mode right now. I havent ridden my bike since Worlds until today. Ill probably do some Crossfit. I have to tone it down a bit because you can get too big doing it so Ill work mostly on my legs and stuff some strength training. Ill do some running even though I hate running. Ill do some trail running. The next couple of weeks Ill try not to touch my bike. Maybe Ill head out mountain biking, which is a lot of fun for me.
Congrats on a great season Taylor! Well see you out at the races next year.
